DJ Assault is a hip hop musician from Detroit, Michigan. Collecting 12" and 45's since age 7, he would go on to be one of the most recognized DJs and producers of Detroit Dance music and is the man behind the turntables and creator of the unique Jefferson Ave sound.
Together with producer Mr. De' he started Electrofunk Records and Assault Rifle Records and put out a series of 12" singles and mix CDs from 1996 through 1999. The duo then parted ways and Assault would go on to set up his own label Jefferson Ave.
Now it's time he's crowned the undisputed king of Booty music!

Although named after a cop in Miami Vice, Rico Tubbs actually hails from the decidedly less sunkissed Finland.
Since the release of "Gangsters" and "Hip Rave Anthem" on Cheap Thrills it’s been non-stop - touring with the likes of deadmau5 , Fatboy Slim etc. and having played everywhere from L.A to Moscow to Sydney and London.
The releases gained overwhelming support from the likes of Annie Mac, Sinden, Crookers, tipped by Annie Mac as “MASSIVE”, he hasn’t disappointed.
With releases out on Laidback Lukes mighty "Mixmash" ,Trouble&Bass , T&A ,+ his own label "Bass = Win" big on the beatport charts, things are only getting bigger.
