Like with most successful musicians, the road for Meri has been a long one. At the age of five, he started to play piano which was followed by school bands of different kind. After getting his musical education and being a choir conductor, Meri was one the first Djs in Estonia early 90's along side Raul Saaremets and others in Estonian underground scene industry. At the same time he turned to radio broadcasting and has done shows over 20 years, most known show called Tallinn Express in ERR Raadio 2. The first Meri single for NRK, “Everything” was released shortly after the Nite:life series mix-cd compilation by Rulers of the Deep. Follow up as moniker Cylon “Kit Cat” for Honchos Music. After that came releases and remixes, such as Neil Quigley, Nick Muir “Feedback From the City” remix and Battlestar EP e.g. In 2009 Manchester Undeground Music released second EP- DJ Meri Presents Cylon - Sekontia EP, which also reached no 17 at Dj Mag Killer Downloads Charts. Newest production including liquatech production, more deep house and techy sounds, remixes and releases under MUM, Audio Therapy, Tohuwabohu Music, etc. Meri is one part of legendary Rulers Of The Deep (Ovum, Defected, Stereo), a songwriter and one part of pop-electronica live band Tiger Milk!
When talking about Meri’s music or style, one has to understand, that although Meri is mostly known as a Techno and Tech House artist, that’s not the whole case. His roots are closely tied with Breakbeat and Balearic Beats. His influences also include David Bowie, Massive Attack, Future Sound of London, LFO, etc.Today, Meri is heavily influenced by techno and it can be heard in his new tracks as well as dj sets.

Taran & Lomov for more than a decade has been deep into everything connected to music: they run Amber Muse Records, radio production, party organizing and record label company, and devotedly bringing electronic music to people via their online mag’s DanceRadio.lv and HeedTheSound.com and international radio show (broadcasted in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland and Moscow).
During the 13 years of organizing events and making music they established good connections in the scene with the likes of Jimpster, Roberto Rodriguez, Shur-i-kan, Dairmount, Copy Paste Soul, Walker & Royce and their music received recognition and support from such a industry’s big names as Nicole Moudaber, The Black Madonna, Tiga, Robert Owens, M.A.N.D.Y., Claude VonStroke to name a few.
Besides Amber Muse Records Taran & Lomov (a.k.a. Bogdan Taran and Max Lomov) has released their music and remixes with Manchester Underground Music, Monique Musique, Loco Records, SpaceWalker, Stripped Music, Tohuwabohu, Room with a View and Bid Muzik.
In 2010 they also launched dance specialist web-radio www.DanceRadio.lv sharing their passion and experience in electronic dance music with music fans. www.DanceRadio.lv now is an electronic dance music online magazine (in Russian).
Bogdan Taran itself is one of the dance radio veterans in Latvia, he’s been producing radio shows since 1992, was the opening act of Sensation White show in Latvia and one of the very few Baltic DJs who performed at Love Parade in Berlin in 2006. He has been voted No.1 DJ in the country 4 years in a row (2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008). Bogdan has also received a special award by National TV & Radio Council of Latvia for “Dance music development” in 2009. His highly acclaimed radio show “Dance Box” has been running since 1998 and was broadcasted on FM in Latvia, Estonia, and Moldova until summer of 2016. Currently Taran & Lomov produce weekly Amber Muse Radio show internationally for Megapolis FM in Moscow, Bassoradio in Finland, Power Hit Radio in Lithuania, DFM in Estonia and Jekabpils Radio 1 in Latvia.
