When you’re talking about the current leaders of the present hardcore scene, there’s little doubt that Jim Hermsen will be mentioned many times. The Neophyte Records-artist has been part of the scene since 2002 and has had a huge influence on the development of hardcore ever since. Just 20 years old, Jim dropped his first EP “Hit ‘Em” on the label and has never left the imprint. Ten years later, Tha Playah is considered to be one of the most influential and gifted producers of the hardcore scene.

Besides being an outstanding producer, Tha Playah is an approved demolisher behind the decks: his own unique style works out just right on a stage. It doesn’t matter if he’s being booked for a DJ-set or a live-act with MC Alee: Tha Playah represents hardcore excellence. He has performed on all major hardcore events. Decibel, Defqon.1, Masters of Hardcore, Thunderdome and Dominator have all been shocked several times by the Neophyte Records-artist
